Community Relations Director

One of the most priceless gifts that I have received in my life has been the opportunity to help grow Journeys Hospice into what it is now, through educating the community and building relationships.  I have been with
Journeys Hospice since her doors opened in February 2007.

My position allows me to network with healthcare providers such as physicians, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, and home health and home care
agencies.  I love teaching people what hospice is, and how it helps benefit so many more people then just the patient.  Hospice is a passion of mine that grows deeper every day.  There is always something new to learn around every corner, which keeps me on my toes and interested.

As a young impressionable lady, I gravitate towards inspiration. Jessica Salguero RN, CHA, has been the greatest light of inspiration I have ever met. I thank
God every day for the gift of Journeys Hospice. what it is, was, and what it will become.

Julie Robinson

Hello, my name is Debbie.  I am a registered nurse and have been in nursing for 13 years.  Throughout those years I have worked in several areas which include, Nursing Home, Medical Surgical, Home Health, OB nursing, and Assisted Living Nurse Manager.  As of this year I graduated on to working in Hospice.  I must say working at Journeys Hospice is a delight, every day I wake up looking forward to go to work.

Everyone in the team is doing a great job working together.  I haven't had these bonuses to this level in other positions I previously had.  But the greatest part of the job is the rapport that is built with the patients and their families.

Julie Robinson has been with Journeys Hospice for a year and a half.  She enjoys working for Journeys Hospice because of the relaxed yet professional atmosphere.  She feels they truly care about their patients and have their heart in the right place.  She likes working with the older population and also helping hospice patients and families in their final days of life.

She has a great deal of experience in working with Alzheimer's patients and their families and caregivers.  She has a bachelor's degree in Gerontology and Social Work. She has a master's degree in Social Work and is currently working on her clinical license.

She also loves to spend time with her family hiking, camping, and horse back riding.

Steve Horn

I started working for Journeys Hospice when I was caring for my Grandpa.  They hired me to be his primary LPN.  I continued working for them after he passed away in hopes of my experience helping others in the position of caring for loved ones during the end of life process.

I am the father of two, grandfather of six.  They are all the center of my life.  My position here at Journeys Hospice is a certified Nurse assistant.

I do direct in home care.  What I appreciate most about our hospice agency is the opportunity it gives me to help elderly people who are in great need of assistance, in order to maintain their lifestyle, in their own homes, as long and as comfortable as possible.
